Join us

To join Strängar och Rör, you only need an instrument and the will to play traditional music. But to make things a bit simpler, here are some tips on how to get started.

• Contact us, either via Email or social media, to get updated information on when, where and how the next rehearsal will take place.

• Join our discord server, where you can socialize digitally and connect with other members.

• Come to one of our rehearsals! This way you get a better picture of what our rehearsals entail, and what you can expect from the group going forward.

• Practise your traditional tunes. If you have played traditional music before, we would be very happy if you were to share some of your repertoire with the group at the jam sessions.

• We have lots of recordings and sheet music to share with members who are new to the genre. As a member you will get access to a large collection of tunes that we have practised and are acquainted with. We also keep track of our top 10-ish most played tunes, so you’ll know where to start.
