Play with Strings and Pipes!

We are Linköpings studentspelmanslag, an association for traditional and worldmusic at Linköpings University, who plays traditional music for dancing and at concerts. We have open admission all year around for anyone who plays an instrument portable enough to bring to rehearsals where we share our repertoire by ear.
We then arrange those tunes and play them to a live audience at trad festivals and other events around sweden.

Here you will meet music and musicians from all over the world, and perhaps discover the folk music tradition for the first time? Our repertoire is based on polskas, waltzes, schottises and slängpolskas from the ‘östgötska låtskatt’ [ø∫`øtska lotskatt], but also includes among others; reels, jigs, zweifacher, songs and newly written melodies.
